Delivery and Returns

How long will delivery take?

Please note that, due to our small team, orders with plants will be processed and shipped as soon as possible, but may take up to 4 weeks.

Where plants are available and ready to ship, you can normally expect your delivery within 2 weeks of placing your order. If you are just purchasing books or other goods not including plants these will be shipped out within a week of your order.

We send a shipping notification email when your order is on the way. If you have not received an order confirmation email, please do check your spam or junk folder as they sometimes end up in there by mistake.  Please mark “orders@dyfiplants.co.uk” as not-junk to ensure you receive all our communications.

We always aim to get orders out as quickly as we can. You can email orders@dyfiplants.co.uk to ask about the status of your order.

Where can we ship to?

We can only send orders to other parts of mainland GB due to strict regulations for the sending of plant materials and sadly we do not have the capacity to fill in phytosanitary certificates. We are sorry that we are unable to ship to Northern Ireland, the EU or elsewhere in the world.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs will be indicated clearly at checkout and can be calculated when you add items to your basket.

Returns

We do everything possible to make sure your plants and seeds arrive in good condition and go on to produce healthy plants. If you are not happy with your purchase or you have any problem at all, please do tell us right away and we will help to resolve the issue immediately. We value your custom enormously.

We request that customers check their order upon receipt and notify us by email at orders@dyfiplants.co.uk within seven working days if the goods are faulty or damaged.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for our products once they have been planted.

Dependent on the situation, we may ask you to return the item to us for an exchange or refund. We will certainly do everything we can to satisfy a customer who experiences a problem.

Authorised returns must be dispatched to the address below within 14 days of authorisation. Please make sure you include a note with your name, address and order number with any return.

Unfortunately we cannot refund your postage costs when you return an item to us unless the item is faulty or damaged. We recommend that you send your order back to us using a Tracked & Signed service as we cannot be held responsible for any parcel lost during transit to us.

As we are a small business we currently have one packing day a week, and so expect your delivery within 2 weeks from ordering your plants.

At this moment in time we are not open for visits to the nursery, however if you come on a volunteer day or in-person course with Huw or Sam at Dan Yr Onnen you can of course then see the nursery and purchase plants in person.

Because working with plants can be an unpredictable business, for simplicity we do not offer pre-orders however we may be able to offer a special offer so do get in touch. The best time to know that we have restocked is to join our mailing list followed by looking out for updates on our Instagram.

We have decided to focus on growing plants 100% naturally without the limitations of going with organic certification. No artificial pesticides, fungicides, or anyother-icides are used on site.

Yes – we allow bank transfers! Please select the ‘bank transfer’ option when ordering, and then we will send you the relevant details for payment. Please note we will not be able to send out plants until the bank transfer has been processed.
